Systems that cannot go down and cannot be wrong
Financial Services & Fintech
Payments, lending, trading and banking platforms run on software that has to be secure, auditable and always available. We help modernise them step by step and build new ones with that in mind.
Problems we help with
- Core systems that are decades old and hard to change safely
- Payments and ledgers that must reconcile exactly
- Heavy load at market hours, month ends or paydays
- Slow releases, because every change needs heavy sign-off
- AI ideas that stall at pilot over data and governance questions
What to plan for
- An audit trail for every sensitive action
- Strong sign-in, with one-time codes where they are needed
- Separation of duties and least-privilege access
- Data residency and retention rules that differ by market
- Standards and regulation such as PCI DSS or SOC 2, to be confirmed with your compliance team
This is a list of things to design for, not a statement of compliance. Your own compliance team decides what applies to you.
How we help
- Enterprise ModernisationMove a core system one capability at a time, running old and new side by side and comparing the results.
- Cloud & Platform EngineeringDelivery pipelines and monitoring that make frequent, safe releases normal.
- AI EngineeringAssistants and automation with a person reviewing, and a record of how each answer was produced.
- Digital Product EngineeringSecure APIs and apps, designed contract-first.
What a first assessment looks at
- 01Which systems move or record money, and how they are reconciled
- 02How releases are approved today, and what slows them down
- 03Where sensitive data lives, who can reach it, and what is logged
- 04How the system behaves at peak load and when a dependency fails
- 05Which part is safest to change first
Questions
Have you worked with a bank or a payments company before?
Not as a client delivery, and we say so on this page. We bring the engineering patterns from our own platform, and we are clear about what we have not done.
Can you work inside our compliance rules?
Yes. We work within the rules your compliance team sets, and we ask early which standards apply. We do not give compliance advice or certify systems.
Would you handle card or payment data?
We would design to keep it out of scope where possible, for example by using a certified payment provider, and we would agree anything else with your security team first.
What we can show today
We have not built a financial system for a client, and we say so. What we can show is the engineering behind it in our own product: verification with one-time codes on every account, mutual TLS between services, events sent only after a commit, and a correlation id on every request.
