Approach
A simple way of working, done properly
Five steps, three ways to start, and a set of engineering standards we hold ourselves to on every project.
Five steps
From first call to running well
- 01
Discover
We listen first. We learn the business, the users and the limits, then agree together what success looks like.
You getA shared definition of success
- 02
Architect
We design the solution and the route to it: the technical plan, the order of the work, and the riskiest part to prove first.
You getA written plan and architecture
- 03
Engineer
We build in small steps that can go live, test-first, with quality built in from the start, not added at the end.
You getWorking software, released in small steps
- 04
Deliver
We release safely, with documentation and a proper handover, so your team can run what we built.
You getA safe release and a handover
- 05
Evolve
We help you run it, measure it and improve it, and we hand over what we know as we go.
You getMeasured improvement over time
Ways to engage
Start small, grow as it earns it
We suggest starting with an assessment, so your next decision rests on evidence.
AssessA short, fixed-scope start
A focused look at where you are today, ending with a written recommendation and a clear plan. You can act on it with us or without us.
- Architecture and modernisation assessment
- Cloud cost and reliability review
- AI readiness and use-case review
BuildA project with a clear goal
A small senior team takes a defined piece of work from design to production, and hands it over properly.
- Service extraction and platform upgrades
- AI feature or workflow automation
- Product or API delivery
PartnerOngoing engineering help
A dedicated senior team that keeps improving and running your platform, month after month.
- Continuous platform improvement
- Operations and reliability support
- Monitoring of AI systems in production
Engineering standards
What we hold ourselves to
These are not slogans. Each one is how we built our own platform, and you can read about it in our work.
Tests come first
We write the test before the code, in a given, when, then style. Integration tests run against a real database that is kept apart from the development one.
Contracts come first
Every API starts as a written OpenAPI contract. Code and client types are generated from it, and a breaking change fails the build.
Checks run on every change
Builds, tests and contract checks run automatically in GitHub Actions, so a problem shows up in minutes, not at release.
Security is built in
Services prove who they are with mutual TLS. Secrets live in a secret manager, never in git, and codes, passwords and tokens never go into logs.
We can see what is happening
Metrics, dashboards and logs are wired in from the first release, and one correlation id follows each request across services and messages.
Documents stay true
Design documents are the source of truth and are updated in the same change as the code. A written runbook describes how to rebuild the whole system.
Small steps, each one finished
Work is split into phases with clear acceptance criteria, and the next phase does not start until the current one is green.
